Kunst aus Nordamerika und Europa der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts bildet den Kern der hochkarätigen Daros Collection, die in den 1980er- und 1990er-Jahren entstand und etwa 280 Werke von 30 herausragenden Künstlern umfasst. Die im Jahr 2000 gegründete Daros-Latinamerica Collection mit zirka 1 000 Arbeiten von rund 100 Künstlern ist die europaweit umfassendste Sammlung lateinamerikanischer Kunst.
Erstmals werden in Face to Face die beiden Daros-Sammlungen und damit Werke unterschiedlichster Medien aus dem westlichen und lateinamerikanischen Kulturbereich in einen aufschlussreichen Dialog gebracht: Es ergeben sich ungeahnte, spannende Einklänge wie auch pointierte und kunsthistorisch provokante Reibungen, die unsere eurozentrierten Denkmodelle mitunter ins Wanken bringen. Face to Face lässt so nicht nur die spezifischen Qualitäten, sondern auch die Gemeinsamkeiten beider Kollektionen und ihre kulturellen Hintergründe vertieft kennen lernen und verstehen.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.
