These needs include antiseptic action to help control oral pathogens that contribute to gum disease, healing action to promote the healing of damaged tissue, anti-inflammatory action to help reduce inflammation, pain and bleeding, and finally circulatory action to help bring nutrients to this area while helping to clear away waste products.

While Gum Rescue is a great choice to support your dog or cat's gum health and comfort there are more serious conditions like periodontitis in which there can be damage to underlying bone/tissue. We do not make claims that this herbal remedy can rebuild bone loss or damaged teeth.

When comparing Gum Rescue to other available formulas you may wish to consider what this formula includes: USDA organic herbs in organic MCT oil from coconut, as well as what it doesn't contain, and this list can be quite long, but typically includes alcohol or grapefruit seed extract that can damage delicate gum tissue and beneficial intestinal flora if used frequently along with flavorings and other unnecessary additives.

Gum Rescue is more gentle for your dog or cat than other formulas yet effective, and it does not have a strong taste when compared to other similar oral formulas for animals so it should be much easier for you to apply to maintain or improve the health of your dog or cat's gums.

About the Organic Herbs in this Formula

Sage Leaf - This herb provides several attributes that include antimicrobial, astringent and anti-inflammatory qualities. This makes it a very good choice as part of a formula for gingivitis and other inflammatory issues in the mouth.

Oregon Grape Root - The constituent berberine provides natural antibiotic activity to help combat gum disease/infections while providing anti-inflammatory benefits.

Calendula Flowers - Popular for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial qualities, this herb is also well know for its ability to enhance healing of damaged tissue.

Prickly Ash Bark - By stimulating circulation, this herb will help increase blood flow to gum tissue to encourage healing.

Licorice Root - A demulcent herb that soothes and protects irritated or inflamed tissue. Also acts as a natural flavor enhancer that most pets like.

Echinacea Root - Considered a primary remedy to support the immune system and help the body rid itself of infection.

Amla Fruit - Provides natural antioxidants and vitamin C that help combat bacteria and infections in the mouth and heal the gums. Also acts as a natural cleanser that can help your pet get rid of bad breath.

Apply to gums twice daily. Shake well before use.

Approximate drops to use (a little more or less won't hurt): up to 10 lbs use 3-4 drops, 11 - 40 lbs use 5-7 drops, over 40 lbs use 8-10 drops. Use your finger or cotton swab and gently massage along gumline.
