Oude, antieke landkaart van Spanje en Portugal. De kaart is omgeven door vier sierranden. Titelcartouche met datering rechts boven. Schaalstokken en legenda links onder. De sierrand boven toont van links naar rechts het Romeinse aquaduct van Segovia; een aanzicht van Madrid; de wapens van Castilië en Leon; een aanzicht van Sevilla; Het wapen van Spanje; een aanzicht van Lissabon; de wapens van Arragon en Portugal; een aanzicht van Valladolid en de Romeinse Toren van Hercules in A Coruña. In de sierranden links en rechts van de kaart zien we onder meer Spaanse edellieden, diverse figuren uit Spanje en Portugal en een aantal wapens van diverse provincies. In de rand onder de kaart van links naar rechts San Adrian; een aanzicht van Granada; de wapens van Murcia en Algarve; een aanzicht van Toledo; het Escorial; een aanzicht van Barcelona; de wapens van Barcelona en Biskaje; een aanzicht van Burgos en een aljibe (cisterne) in Andalusië. 
Handgekleurde kopergravure, vermoedelijk gegraveerd door Abraham Goos. Uitgegeven in 1641 door Claes Jansz Visscher te Amsterdam.
Marge onder aangezet; onder is het onderste deel (de kaderrand en de onderste 3 millimeter van de sierrand) op zeer professionele en zorgvuldige wijze aangevuld. Verder in uitstekende conditie.
